Fantastic for small spaces and van conversions
We purchased this for our Sprinter conversion and so far, we are very happy. We don't have a lot of space and the fact that this folds up is key. We loved the video a trucker posted to give us an idea of how it works as we were thinking about a compost toilet but we just don't have the space. We are using this as our own "compost" using wood pellets – which is what we use for our kitty litter and puppies when we're potty training them. Let me tell you that it works like a charm. The wood pellets are a wonderful addition to the toilet. We use overnight and for a day and then wrap up and dispose. No odor, no nothing. It is as strong as they say and comfortable to use in a small space (our conversion Sprinter). I love being able to use and fold up and make it invisible. Very happy so far!

    I was honestly impressed with this. The fact that it folds and turns into a small suitcase makes it incredibly easy to store and carry. It feels very sturdy—I sat on it and I weigh about 200 lbs, no issues at all.

    My update to what I wrote below. I took the Ann Katy to Burning Man 2024 and it held up for the entire event and I arrived early and stayed late. I did replace the original bags with a more sturdy leak proof bag. I also used it as a seat when the lid was down, which the company does not recommended you do, and I agree its not made to be a chair. Would I use it again for a Burning Man like event, yes. I'm going to change from three stars to four stars because it does what it says, however it is not sturdy, you have to sit on it, with your weight on the brim of the seat; if you don't you may lose your balance or it may waddle. However I did like the convenience of how compact, lightweight and ease of transporting it.****
    Once The Ann Katy arrived inside an Amazon delivery bag, no protective wrappings. It is easy to put together and comes with two flimsy bags, that I would not trust as a lining for a toilet. I know that you add a bad to hold what you're putting in, however, the two bags are flimsy, I'm replacing them with a more sturdy bag that's sure to be leak proof. The Ann Katy feels like a heavy cardboard covered in cloth, not too different from cubes you might use on a shelf. It is sturdy enough to hold my weight and is comfortable. Normally I would bring my own DIY bucket camping which has a soft seat and a lid on it too, but I have limited packing space and I'm flying out. The convenience of having something portable, easy to pack, is most helpful. I'll have to let you know how it holds up at the end of the summer. It does appear sturdy as a seat, has a lid, the traveling bag it comes in has a handle so it's easy yo carry, and lightweight. I plan on setting it up in its own private area when camping, hopefully all goes well. Update later.

    This toilet is the truth , it can be a seat, a footstool or the portable toilet it’s supposed to be but must of all it even looks good because it’s leather. The convenient side pouch u can put wet wipes in , or small reading material but I promise you, this lil potable toilet is sturdy it holds a full grown adult and is easy to install within less than 5 minutes. No trip on the road should be without it. Not messy put your bag in the toilet and dispose after use . Order some Oceanic toilet bags and poo gel as well and you will have the comforts of this cool potty for many yrs of use without the germs of a public restroom. Can be used in home as a spare bathroom as well when u have guests over let them have this lil jewel of a toilet in their bedroom. But it and try, you will love it just like I do!

    Purchased for camping. It was great, even better than expected. We placed a good quality no leek kitchen garbage bag in the toilet and added some cedar chips at the bottom as recommended. A very large bag of cedar chips was purchased at a pet store (used for rabbits or other small animals) for $14. The bag will last for several campings trips. The chips were super absorbent so almost no liquid at the bottom of the bag and definitively no smell at all.
