This backpack is HUGE and tested to be 100% dry!!

5 out of 5 stars

This backpack is HUGE and tested to be 100% dry!!
This bag is absolutely amazing!! I have several of these by other manufacturers, all of which have been advertised as being “large”. I was always disappointed in the size of them up until this one. This truly is large, in fact, it’s huge! I just started stuffing random stuff in it that I had ordered from Amazon to see how much it would hold, if you check out my photos I think you’ll be pretty well impressed. I wanted a bag that would cover camping, canoe trips, and could also be used as a long-term bug out bag. It needed to be comfortable, spacious, and most of all keep things completely dry. After all, that is the intention of this bag. This bag by HEETA lived up to all of my expectations and even exceeded them. As you can see in my attached photos and video, I filled it full of stuff which included a small humidifier that was still in the box, a small rollup blanket, and two grocery bags of clothing. Everything fit perfectly and when I put it in the sink and ran water on top of it for about 30 seconds, everything remained dry. I then did it again and ran water over it for over a minute and the contents were still 100% dry side. I’m totally impressed with this bag! The bag itself is stylish and attractive, and also stands out. It has a very attractive, but has a unique look so you will not get it mixed up with other people‘s bags. It has plenty of compartments and the flaps and the zippers are completely waterproof. There are some rings on it where you can hook other accessories or items to it. The straps are all adjustable and easy to get to fit any body type. The one negative thing I will say about this bag is that the shoulder straps are not the most comfortable. If you’re using this and it’s weighted down with a lot of stuff, on a long trip having this on your shoulders would get to be pretty uncomfortable I think. That being said, the pros fat outweigh the cons and I am incredibly happy with this bag. It’s a great product at a good price.

I purchased this dry bag backpack to utilize during a hike to Havasu and it completed the task. The size of it was great and I was able to pack the following for a 4 day summer hiking trip: double hammock, fly, mosquito net, camping quilt, clothes, food, cards, & flip flops. It definitely held up, not heavy (until packed full), functioned as needed and will be used as dry bag on jet ski in the future. Unable to test the waterproofness of the bag, but I suspect it will work well. The bag did have some strings that began to unravel, but for the cost and the use it is to be expected.

I’ve used a lot of dry bags over the past 40 years on the ocean and Whitewater rivers. This one holds up well, the only issue I had was the lateral straps seemed unnecessary and they got in the way, especially the clips. Otherwise, great product.

This HEETA dry bag has been great as I use it for riding my motorcycle. It keeps all my stuff stored while riding and if it rains everything remains dry. The size is great!!! As I can fit an entire box of 12 cans of soda if I needed to do a quick pickup run to the store. However, the durability remains to be subjective. As, I’ve had the bag a mear few months the and the zipper is already broken. But, overall not a bad buy.

Overview: For the price I'm quite happy with this purchase. It's a light drybag with a few smart accessories added. Practical use as a day-bag when you need to keep things dry, but not as a replacement for a hiking backpack.
Volume: about 13 gallons of space, which I measured by putting a Costco kitchen trash bag inside for comparison. So, what you can fit in your kitchen trash – you can fit in this bag and still close the top.
Outer shell: appears to be a thin butyl rubber with internal ripstop. A bit thinner than larger dry bags I've used, so I'd be conscious of rubbing wear (holes) over time. The seams are hot glued with a 1 cm overlap, which would be another area I'd keep an eye on with use and/or excessive weight. That said, the seams are smartly located to minimize strain/rubbing.
Carrying straps: the shoulder straps are 3" thick and the waist band is 4" thick. The back pad is 9" x 16". All padding is thin and covered in mesh for breathability. The waist straps both have zippered pockets, but I don’t think they’re deep enough to be of practical use.
Wetness protection: standard rollover top opening with plastic locking latching which can be clicked together at the top or cinched down against the sides.
Compression straps: these would be used to keep the drybag shape when the bag is full, but I wouldn't use them to cinch down as each strap two parts and sewn together at the back pad, rather than a single band looping the circumference. These straps would invariably fail over time if stressed.
Nice surprise feature: 3 plastic d-rings. One sewn into the back, and one on either shoulder strap.

This is a great waterproof backpack for the money. Not as convenient as a waterproof zippered version, but significantly less expensive. If you don’t know it’s roll top. There is a small pocket with a waterproof zipper on the front of the bag. It’s fairly comfortable to wear, too.
