Meets my needs
I returned this color and get the grey instead: I needed a day bag if I go out with my toddler and need to have my stuff too all in one bag, and it did the purpose in great way and even felt lighter than I thought, I guess because of the signature back design that makes osprey items so comfy. (I had 25 l back pack same brand for years and worked great in my hiking trails). I went for long hikes with it: one to the Zoo, and another in NYC (6 hours of walking). I noticed when I added my leather jacket (was big but not heavy), it felt not comfortable and the straps kinda hurt my shoulders. So the Zoo trip was later and I put necessary stuff there and worked great for 3 hours of walking.

    Great pack. I use this pack in the Philippines for a month and it was awesome. I used it as my carry on and it fit under the seat with no problem on China Airlines. It’s big enough to carry all the items you need an extra change of clothes, toiletries, power banks, water and food for long flights. Or even an over nighter in the woods.

There are lighter packs but No way will this pack fall apart on the first use. Good, trustworthy brand and well designed. Will use as personal item on trips and will pack small empty handbag in carry-on.

    Love this bag. It's light and feels durable. It has alot of space to hold a large laptop (15") and other accessories inside such as a tablet, mobile phones, etc. There are two drink holder pockets on both sides of the bag which is nice. It fits perfectly for my height and I love the color as well. I do wish that there was an internal zipped pocket inside to hold more important things like a wallet and keys. Other than that, the bag is perfect. I wish I had discovered the Osprey brand sooner!

    I absolutely love this bag! It’s small and lightweight enough that I’m not feeling the strain on my back. It comfortably fits my waterbottle, work essentials like my pens, phone, charger, a book, and a small lunch/snack if not too wide (it’s a slim bag). I’ve started using a separate lunch bag over the shoulder, then when it’s empty it folds right up into my backpack.

    I love my Osprey Day Lite so I ordered one for my husband for our anniversary. The product came in one of those Amazon bags where you know it was a repack.
    My heart sank because I knew immediately that it was a used backpack. There were no tags on it. If it’s a new product, there should be tags. The only reason I’m not returning it is because I wouldn’t get a new one in time for our anniversary and it does appear that the bag is still in very good condition and I couldn’t see any obvious wear. I’m just so angry to spend that much money and not get a new product.
    But overall, I really like this backpack because it has the hydration slot, great slippers with the sturdy loops, easy to close the top and open it, not a super heavy bag, easy to carry, looks nice, and even if you have your hydration pouch in it, it still holds a lot of stuff. (We frequently bring lunch, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, map, and binoculars. They all fit in the various compartments.)
    I’m taking off a star for Amazon sending me a used product, otherwise this would’ve been a five star.

    This is our second Osprey Day Lite and I bought this one for my son after my wife had such good luck with hers. I especially love that the water bottle pocket goes tall for larger waterbottles. Other backpacks we have had, the pocket barely goes up half the length of the waterbottle, making it prone to fall out when ducking through branches, or moving around a lot. This keeps it snug and secure. The back mesh and padding make this comfortable and the straps are nice and wide. This is a great day pack, and is what my wife and son both use as day packs now for hiking and amusement park trips.

    It's reasonably comfortable even when packed rather heavily.
    My only gripe with it, is that I wish that it was a little bit bigger, but that's more my personal issue rather than an issue with the backpack itself.
    I fully recommend it, if you want a small, daily-use backpack.
